I thought a spark plug was a spark plug, it sparks, fuel goes bang, the end? whats the difference in a £1 plug to a £10 plug?

no....
well they weren't mega cheap shit, they were NGK but I don't really see the point in spending mega money on a set of plugs when a cheaper set will do the same

Not much point putting iridium plugs in a 1.4 8v mate, I would just put basic ngk plugs in if I was you
I run Ngk iridium in the v6 coupe but then again it's an inlet manifold off job to change the rears
all my I other peugeot and Citroen hot hatches have run Ngk r

you get what you pay for so go for a decent priced spark plug otherwise you will end up replacing then sooner then you think

Iridiums are a little bit better but i personally think there never worth the cost compared to normal plugs, especially on a 1.4 8v

Last time i canged mine i did a bit of reading up and the differences are only very slight between normal ngk ones and the expensive ones so only benefit for high performance cars. So i would just get some normal cheap ngk ones

Go for normal Ngk plugs. not going to see aa difference for your engine size just by some top or the range plugs

Go for standard 'oem' plugs. Standard NGK ones are absolutely up to the job. You should not have to regularly replace any spark plug so these long life and fancy ones are a false economy.
