Can I Use The Manifold Off A 206?

  1. #1
The VTS I've just bought has a silly De-cat system on it, I'm looking it get rid of it ASAP, it just makes far too much noise and with me constantly getting in and leaving at silly hours of the day it just has to go!

The 206 is a roland garos edition with the JP4 lump so can I use the manifold off of that?

How different is the floorplan of the 206, would I be able to make the whole exhaust fit with a bit of welding so that I dont have to rush to get a decent exhaust for the VTS?

Sounds like a ball ache mark
The manifold won't fir unless you have the engine out off the newer type cars like a c2 and the engine has not been tapped for a old type manifold

    So i would say no

But when people do the JP4 conversion I'm pretty sure you keep the normal J4 manifold? So they must fit? Maybe it's physically the wrong size for the Saxo/106 engine bay..

Sadly its just a Mk1 VTS manifold and straight through centre section then a silly big bore back box, custom made by powerflow I believe so probably worth a bit if its your kind of thing, but it certainly isn't my taste!

If its got a standerd manifold you wont need the one of the 206 the vts cat is under the car, can buy a standerd system off here for like £40.

Did the VTS/GTI never come with the cat in the manifold like the later lower spec models then?

I'm just trying to think of the cheapest, fastest viable option at the moment, If the manifold off the 206 will fit it would be the best option as it's free and near enough sat on my drive so wouldn't have to drive to pick it up or anything..

I guess if I haven't got a definitive answer by the weekend I can take it off and give it a try..

Nope VTS/GTI never had a cat in manifold only the 8v's did. I doubt it will mate but like you said its free and its worth a try.
