Engine Rebuild!?!?! NEED HELP!!!

Car has been standing for a year on my drive.. Bottom section of engine is jammed because of the cam-shaft being physically stuck.. mechanic told me he could try bump start it, but may result on blowing the whole engine.. How much would it cost to get my engine rebuilt? Ive got a 1.4 furio...

Whats the point rebuilding it? 1400 engines are very cheap to replace, you can even get a VTR unit for unit £100. Has it been sat with water in it or with no oil? It shouldnt seize up in a year providing the seals are all good

how do you know the camshafts "stuck"? have you had it apart?

Bumping it may snap the cambelt if its that tight, the quickest, easier option would be to just put another engine in it. Like its been said you will be able to get replacement far cheaper than messing around with a goosed engine.

Either get another 1.4 engine and use that or upgrade to the VTR/VTS engine

If your getting a new engine, just bump the fucker.. you might get lucky. If not your getting a new engine..

OR have a good look around, and see why it's seized.. and fix it.

a long shot but try taking the alternator belt off before condemning the engine, i've had one fool me into thinking the engine had siezed when it was just the alternator locking it up. failing that, i've got an excellent 1.4 furio engine here, removed for a conversion, £125

+1 to this also, had a fiesta of a customers that was left for some time and wouldn't start, they had bumped it off but the battery light was on all the time and kept going flat, when I had a look at it, the belt was wrapped round the bottom arm and the alternator was solid.
