Vts box as the 1.4 box is still quite long like a VTR box!

to be on the safe side id get a vtr loom, if some one is selling a vtr engine then you might as well take the loom with it?

ecu- are you asking do you need a vtr ecu over a furio one? or do you need a unlocked ecu over a locked vtr ecu? you will want a vtr ecu to start with, and yes having it unlocked helps so much, all you need to do is remove your own immobilser before you plug the ecu in and it'll work, or if it comes locked off the top of my head you will need the key, pick up ring, immobilser and ecu from the same vtr, if the engine comes with a locked ecu and they have scrapped the car with the rest of the btis you need the engine is pretty much worthless as an unlocked ecu costs more than what a vtr engine is worth

and you can keep the 1.4 box and use your 1.4 drive shafts or the 2 piece vtr shafts, but if you fit the vtr box then you will need the vtr shafts as the 1.4 ones will leak oil

If you leave your imobiliser plugged in when you connect your unlocked ecu it will lock it and will be useless then its another £50-80 for another ecu.. not sure what a laser line imobiliser is though? Is it aftermarket?

Right done a bit of reading...

The immobiliser is behind the glove box?

I unplug that...with the old engine in? Running or non running?

Then fit new engine with new unlocked ECU

Then do I re-fit the immobiliser or not?

    Really need help..cheers

remove immobiliser with the engine running. when you fit the new engine etc do not plug your immobiliser box back in or it WILL lock the new ecu...unless you cut the wires on the loom
