#7£40 to fit it? lol takes about 5-10minutes.
£135 could be about right with abit added on for themselfs if the part is genuine from citroen. -
#8ive changed one myself so didnt know where they got 40quid from? reckon it will take an hour!! prob best off buyin it an doing myself
-
#9£107 from Motor Parts Direct for my vts but i can't remember if that included VAT or not.
Hope this helps haha but you can get an idea from this i hope. -
#10cheers darl, did u have to give part number for that? as i dont have one! dunno if the one on scrapyard valve will be same as original as the guy who changed it was a twat and didnt car what he put on it!

#11£135 for an icv? I bought a brand new one for my rallye off ebay for £30! Worked fine!
-
#12The ICV plugs into the throttle body so unless he changed that as well then I would guess he just replaced it with another one for that car.
Is yours a Mk1 or a Mk2 -
#13its a mk2 he said he got 2 from scrap yard and then an ebay one and still revs on its own accord! the scrap yard one is better than ebay tho, only revs on its own til its warmed up then its ok but its annoyin more than anthing and dangerous when it flys forward at zebra crossings! doesnt matter how much u brake it just goes!
-
#14Maybe it's not the ICV then, mine revs high for the first few minutes and then randomly whilst idle. I replaced the ICV and it may no difference so it could be something else.Quote:its a mk2 he said he got 2 from scrap yard and then an ebay one and still revs on its own accord! the scrap yard one is better than ebay tho, only revs on its own til its warmed up then its ok but its annoyin more than anthing and dangerous when it flys forward at zebra crossings! doesnt matter how much u brake it just goes!

-
#23Thats a high price for an ICV but not sure of the cost of buying it from Citroen.
-
#26ahh right ill give a few parts suppliers a ring see what quotes i get...is it easy enough to do yaself? or best getting garage on it? i need to go to kent soon and dont trust the car as it is!
