VTR Mk1 Oil Level Sensor

1. White_SaxoVTR L-plater Joined: May 2011 Posts: 44 Renault Clio Trophy 189/500 Citroen Saxo VTR

   Hi,
   
   Does the VTR have an oil level sensor?
   
   Seem to only find posts that the VTS has this sensor.
   
   Warning light flashing on the dash which I believe is engine oil level.

   I think thats the Oil pressure warning light thats flasing..

   If it does then you`ll get an orange symbol on the dash with like a walking stick symbol in the middle mate.

   Yes it does, do some VTR's not have this then?

   I'm sure that every VTR has a Oil pressure light, As for the oil level sensor you said didn't think any VTR had that actually on the dials...

   Thought the oil pressure light was the red oil can light? This operates as normal.
   
   Just the orange light that flashes often when the car is started and then disappears.

   Take a look at this i commented on it further down the page I remember now after reading my own comment, I believe your right about the orange one being a level sensor and the red one being a pressure light

   Was an oil level sensor - removed it, cleaned it and all seems ok!
