#3How long is a piece of string
-
#4so about 5 times what i paid for the car then
-
#5Have a look on FAQ's mate, there's even a couple of threads near the top that will help
-
#6Probably should have looked there for to be honest... Thanks
-
#7Very difficult question to answer without coming across arsy..
Conversions go from sub 1k all the way to 20k monsters.
How deep are your pockets? -
#82 grand, including car, quaife, coilys, track tyres and a KMS with innovate wideband, buckets, harnesses and external fuel pump etc etc...
-
#9After reading a turbo guide, i think i'll uprate everything else first and do the turbo last lol. So internals, brakes, suspension etc.
-
#1020k?

#11Search through all of Sophia_Bush posts. He's done a few turbo builds on a budget.
-
#12few questions?
-doing the work yourself?
-2nd hand parts?
-have you searched any saxo forums? -
#14Depends on what your after, a cheap low boost set-up with second hand parts is do-able as sub 7psi boost can be ran on standard internals which lowers the build cost, but if you want full boost and a proper setup then your talking £££
-
#15Well after reading the FAQs i think i'm going to do a quick N/A set up first, uprated internals, brakes etc. so when i do boost it all the components can take the extra power.
-
#16The trouble is, if you're eventually heading down the boost route theres no point in building a high spec n/a engine, seeing as how a high spec turbo engine will need completely different spec components. Deffo go for the uprated brakes/suspension/mounts etc though if i were you.

that's what i was meaning, so that i can stop once i get the extra power. so it won't fall apart once i put my foot down. -
#18Sounds like another dreamer thread tbf.2 users thanked this post: ,

#19You would have to go on a right bargain hunt to get all that for 2k!Quote:2 grand, including car, quaife, coilys, track tyres and a KMS with innovate wideband, buckets, harnesses and external fuel pump etc etc...
Definitely.... Ebay 20bhp chip required -
#21That's what I paid. Not bad eh. Wheels were mini lites, 13x7 with Avon acb 10s and a set of rallye steels with Yoko's. Even had the spacers for the mini lights as they are ford fitment. Oh, and four slicks but need wheels for them. you gotta keep an eye out for bargains! Car is an ax, got of Ebay, don't think people like spending 2k on an ax at the end of the day.

#22Gav aka miss bush is selling his 8v setup ATM. Saw this in action the other day goes very well and for the bhp it made unmapped was a very good result IMO well worth what he's asking
-
#23why would you want to change the internals? thats when things start getting serious and expensive imoQuote:After reading a turbo guide, i think i'll uprate everything else first and do the turbo last lol. So internals, brakes, suspension etc.
just follow 'sophiabushes' guides on a low boost set up. When i was looking into a turbo conversion i priced it up to be about £1000-£1500 worth of parts. Depending on how good you are at sourcing 2nd hand parts though.
That price doesnt include fitting, and you are bound to go over any budget you set anyway.
I lost interest in a turbo eventually and am now putting it towards another surprise
