708 cam timing

Is it easy enough/possible to time up catcams 708 cams for the vts without a vernier pulley?
Somebody was telling me that the standard one is adjustable.

    Cool I have those already.
Is there anything extra that you need to do with the standard pulley or is that it?

The standard VTS cam pulleys are adjustable. They aren't marked like proper verniers, but that's not an issue if you have a DTI or two.

If you get stuck, have a chat with williamsvts - he can time them to the correct lift at TDC for you.

Have I dreamt this or does the three plug vts time itself? Physically it appears impossible, I just remember hearing something along time ago about it. I'm sure my new VTS doesnt have adjustable pulleys.

No it can adjust fuel and ignition timing as can the single plug but only to a certain degree. it cant adjust the cam timing, that is what you see in VVT systems such as a gti180

I think you're thinking of the JP4 - they have non-adjustable cam pulleys and I'm pretty sure they use an auto tensioner on the cam belt too?
