Personally I wouldn't be spending £200 on an induction kit.

Spend £40-£50 on an aftermarket panel filter and then use the other £150 to get a decent exhaust system.

or buy a second hand induction kit.

i just picked up a nearly new raceland style encosed induction kit with 2 filters and all the hoses/pipes for £60.

then spend 120 on a 4 branch exhaust manifold or a cat back system.

So just panel filter and no induction kit? Does panel filter replace induction kit? Also the exhaust was going to be my ne t question. Will race pipes n manifold be wise for road use? What would u recommened for an exuast system tht wouldnt get me in ttouble by the law. Cheers

do you think it would be wiser to spend more money on a exhaust system then mate and just buy a cheaper induction kit

Its up to you but with an average induction or panel filter and exhaust you will see a big improvement.

A panel filter will give you more gains than a BMC, personnally I think BMC's are shit.

That's a whole new debate on its own, some say it speeds up release of the gases out of the engine and through the exhaust, others say its a waste of time. I do think however that many people do it to prevent heat soak with the induction kit but if your using a standard filter then you won't have a lot to worry about.

Ye mate on kam racing it said that. Thats y i wounderd. Uno because im uprading to a aftermarket panel filter. Does that mean that i shouldnt bother with the air filter or induction kit. Vtr is my first car and i no f**k all about engines lol. Feedback would be appreciated
