#6Personally I wouldn't be spending £200 on an induction kit.
Spend £40-£50 on an aftermarket panel filter and then use the other £150 to get a decent exhaust system.2 users thanked this post: , -
#7or buy a second hand induction kit.
i just picked up a nearly new raceland style encosed induction kit with 2 filters and all the hoses/pipes for £60.
then spend 120 on a 4 branch exhaust manifold or a cat back system.

#8So just panel filter and no induction kit? Does panel filter replace induction kit? Also the exhaust was going to be my ne t question. Will race pipes n manifold be wise for road use? What would u recommened for an exuast system tht wouldnt get me in ttouble by the law. Cheers

-
#15i have a bmc kit used but like new £110 delivered
a local lad has said hes having it at the end of the month. if your interested now ill give him aa kick up the arse? -
#17I would say get a raceland but dont spend that sort of money on an induction.
-
#19Its up to you but with an average induction or panel filter and exhaust you will see a big improvement.
-
#20A panel filter will give you more gains than a BMC, personnally I think BMC's are shit.

#23Im guna go for a green cotton panel filter and a 4 2 1 manifold, supersprint system or piper. It wil be few montha before a buy system mate . Do u recommend heat wrappingthe manifold?
-
#24That's a whole new debate on its own, some say it speeds up release of the gases out of the engine and through the exhaust, others say its a waste of time. I do think however that many people do it to prevent heat soak with the induction kit but if your using a standard filter then you won't have a lot to worry about.

#25Ye mate on kam racing it said that. Thats y i wounderd. Uno because im uprading to a aftermarket panel filter. Does that mean that i shouldnt bother with the air filter or induction kit. Vtr is my first car and i no f**k all about engines lol. Feedback would be appreciatedQuote:That's a whole new debate on its own, some say it speeds up release of the gases out of the engine and through the exhaust, others say its a waste of time.
