Mk2 VTR 4-2-1 Manifold onto Standard Exhaust?

  1. #1
    Hi Guys

Is this possible? I want a little more power and the manicat looks very restrictive so i want a 4 branch manifold.
I dont want to replace the rest of the system though so i need one to fit the standard exhaust.
    Has anyone ever done this?

    yes they will all fit.

it'll fit and improve throttle response a little but you'd need to change it back come mot time.

It should be fine and its worth doing. As said you might need to change back to standard for MOT time depending on where your cat is.

To avoid constant changing of manifolds, as it's a bit more than just an exhaust change, get a Vts exhaust system and a decat pipe so you can fit an under car cat come MOT time.

Great idea cheers. Is the VTS system the same diameter etc as the VTR one?

No, the Vts one is a bit bigger, so you'll need the lot unfortunately, I couldnt get a stock Vts backbox to seal on a 1.75" centre pipe anyway. You might have more luck!
