Does anyone think that swapping the 1.1 cylinder head for a vts head would work and any positives come from it?
Swapping cylinder heads?

#2It wouldn't fit.

#3what about a vtr?
-
#4vtr has the same block as a vts so i wouldn't think so if the 16v head doesn't fit

#5People put the rallye heads on 1.4s quicksilvers etc, so I cant see why a VTR head wouldnt fit on a 1.1 providing its got room for the valves in the cylinder bore and they dont touch the pistons but Ive not had a 1.1 apart so cant say 100%. Youd really be wasting your money though in my opinion

#61.1, furio and vtr have the same block just bored out a bit more
Head should be the same, have the same rockers etc just make sure you get the same era head, vts head is completely different to vtr. I wanted to put a vts head on my vtr, looked, saw how much modding and drilling it needed. Like Gandi said just be careful of the valves

#7The blocks are different materials, VTR is cast as are some of the performance 1.4s the others are all aluminiumQuote:1.1, furio and vtr have the same block just bored out a bit more

#8It is possible to make the 16v head fit a 1360cc block either steel or alloy --but not a straight swop
I have made 1400cc 16v in past --even made one using alloy block --but not simple on alloy block --you might as well get an ET3 engne 1360cc 16v unit fitted to later c3.s and the206,s
1.1 engine bore is too small 1.616v head will not match bore size and valves may touch
everything is possible with enough work2 users thanked this post: ,
