#2expensive boyo
Edit: pointless post seeing as though you'll buy one anyway.
They're not cheap and you're looking at a limit array of cameras for that kind of market but you're looking at an extra £100 or so on top of the typical camera. -
#3You can get lomography cameras pretty cheap and with a waterproof case.
My mates fisheye produced some quality images last year when we were messing about in the sea
They take film though... -
#4just seen two on amazon for 40 quid
cam
i know its cheap but kodak not a bad make, if it gets me a pic of me slapping a great white its worth it -
#6Haha, should have seen that one coming
-
#7http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004MMF7Q...SIN=B004MMF7QE
took one of these to magaluf last year, amazing camera for what it is/the price of it. used it everyday, took it to the beach and in the sea (wear the wrist band because it doesn't float lol) during the day and to clubs during the night.
make sure you rinse the seals, hinges and locks after it has been in the sea though, both the locks on the doors on mine seized up and now they don't lock properly, but as long as you rinse them every time it should be fine. -
#8after one that does pics too mate
-
#9the lomography frogeye is an awesome 35mm for underwater! i use mine all the time, and fucking love it!
if i want digital, i use my Gopro. or a waterproof casing for my IXUS 75.
other than those options though, underwater cameras are silly money. -
#10got a link mate?Quote:the lomography frogeye is an awesome 35mm for underwater! i use mine all the time, and fucking love it!

#12use a dive bag mate...used 1 on my honeymoon a couple of years back...there top quality ...u can use any camera and chuck them in this bag...and hey presto u ve got underwater pics
-
#13yeah does look good mate, but kinda fancy a camera
ive looked at the dive bags, looked at reviews and loads are saying product arrived quickly excellent customer service, havent used product yet, what kind of review is that?! i think im going to get that kodak one for 50 quid, only 50 worth a punt -
#15frogeye 35mm film (fujifilm iso400)

works well enough under water and after being used too! -
#16only thing is with it being film puts me off, hoping to go shark diving, and id want to take more than 30 pics no doubt, plus want video, but does look good
-
#17GoPro HD then!
the quality is awesome! i got a few vids on my mac but they take ages to upload, ill see what i can do! -
#18want a cam that i can get vid on mate, not just a video camera
-
#20Holly, it CAN take still photos however it's fucking pointless seeing as it doesn't have a screen!!Quote:It's a camera and a video camera its an incredible piece of kit! The videos are so clear and crisp also the photos! Check out the first GoPro HD itshalf the price of the new one.
Also I love how the guy below is staring at your arse

#22Yeah you can get a screen but you have to pay for it. What is it, £80?
I would rather get a Drift HD. -
#23well my water proof cam is here, i dont have a bath so i cant see what its like, ive left it in sink for a bit and no leaks, but pic wise in a black basin just look weird
-
#24What have you got?
-
#25Im in 2 minds wether or not to get a dive bag for my dslr or to buy a propper waterproof camera that will only be used for holidays an that.
Fujifilm xc30 and Olympus Tough were the ones i was deciding on. Both about £100 but have raving reviews.
Its 50/50 with the Kodak one though, i personally wouldnt get it because iv had a go and its like having a basic camera like on the first mobile phones
I want great pictures to come back with, especially seein as its the Maldives il be going to
