Car feels underpowered on return from garage

    As above just had cambelt, pulleys , clutch kit, water pump and a full service to my Saxo now car feels really underpowered as I own two.

    The pick up from 3rd gear feels like you are in 5th I no there only 1.4 but there is a massive difference between them.

    Anything I can do or have a look at, I thought it might be the clutch bedding in or the timing out on the engine your help would be great full

    exactly, i bet its the timing, ive had 2 106 gti's and the current vts i have and all of them had the timing out a tooth when i got them... on the vts they had the timing a tooth out on the exhaust and then went and tried to fix it by adjusting the vernier pulley's

    Cheers pal back to the garage then because I have no clue how to do the timing
