Exhaust Questions

   Hi
   
   Hope someone can help.
   
   Need to change the back box on my VTR as is rotted.
   
   Ive had a look at it and at the rear of the back box which mounts to the mid section, it only has a very short pipe and then a "U" clamp.
   
   Most aftermarket boxes ive seen has a much longer pipe out the rear of the box, does that mean I would need to cut it down to fit my mid section?
   
   My car has the CAT in the manifold and is 2003?

   No it means you need to buy an aftermarket catback system. No point in just a backbox, just get a standard one and buy a chrome tip if its looks your after.

   Piper, Supersprint and our KAM Racing backboxes will all fit the standard centre silencer

   Thanks for your replies, so if im going to do it, I need a full cat back then?
   
   I was going to buy a new standard one, but would rather a performance system.

   Get one of those then as your cats in the mani. I assume you have a silencer underneath? if so it will just remove that.

   Yeah silencer underneath mate, think its all original, so pretty shitty all round!

   Sportex nice sound not expensive and hold there money when you come to sell then my next choice would be supersprint 2 inch pea shooter always a win with Saxo but not too sure how it will sound on a 1.1 just don't buy anything with universal or jap in the name
