mani top gasket

do u put exhaust paste on the top are where the four pipes come out of block or just use the metal gasket? same goes for the second section do u put paste inbetween the gasket?
  2. #2
Layer of copper grease on the gasket itself but thats all
  3. #3
No need to, I'd do the studs/bolts though especially on the half way down joint
  4. #4
all done. no putty needed. just a bitch to remove the studs to swap for stainless bolts. old mani was a horror to remove too so hoping once its re welded and get the rusty nuts off to split it in two again are done its a easy swap

no paste at all if you still have a cat, the putty shit sets and bits can fire down the exhaust and bugger the innards of the cat

only place you may need paste is on the centre to rear joint but if you use a decent clamp it will be fine.

standard steel gasket on the mani headers will be fine. just make sure its sealed right. the bottom to cat if its under the floor cat use a new clamp kit + wire gasket and use copper grease on the bolts. otherwise its a bitch when removing in the future.
