Exhaust Fitment Help please>???

  1. #1
Just bought a new centre pipe and backbox (Standard) to replace my Sportex, and when we've fitted it theres condensation pissing out all over from the backbox.

I rang the company up where i got it from, and he asked if theres a pinhole in the box, as this is there to allow a build up of condensation to be released, thus preventing rust?

Has anyone heard of this? Ive got a picture here if you can see it. It isnt blowing, and is much quieter, but just has me wondering??

    Thanks

    EDIT:

After fitting the exhaust, the silencer in the centre pipe is vibrating like mad against the underside of the car, what can i do to stop this please?????

I'm at work now mate so can't get picture, but its rattling against the underside of the car, as if the whole pipe/silencer is sitting too high, but there's no way to drop it as far as I can see?

I would adjust it. You can turn the centre section and nip up.

what he said suprising how much movement there is by a slight twist of the centre section

Yeah. I wasnt sure at first myself. When i fitted the Catback centre section then went to align the backbox i couldnt get a perfect fit/inline no matter how much i adjusted the backbox. So i thought, heh heh heh.. il loosen the centre section turn and see how it goes. Sorted...

mines a standard exhaust and water pours from my backbox now and then its normal

I had this, vibrating against rear beam. I used longer exhaust rubbers as the hangers on my aftermarket backbox are too small
