Furio Fan, VTR fan

  1. #1
So I looked at my car today, and saw that my fan was behind radiator like near the manifold ect, but on a VTR isnt it infront of the radiator?

E.g my furio fan (IGNORE HUGE FILTER)

    VTR fan

Any reason why they are in different places? Are there any benifits if I were to try and do this?

EDIT: prob best way to put it would be vtr fan is infront of slam panel, furio is behind?

Its because yours is a early engine in the mk2 then did it for a while.

Didnt know if there was any benifits of it being there. Plus the fan behind mine looks really flimsy because there is no guard around it ect, the one on the VTR pic looks more sturdy because of the guard around it.

i have a w reg mk2 and my fan was on the back aswell. most early engine 1.0/1.1/1.4s i have seen have it at the back. i think that they possibly moved it to the front because the cat was moved to the manifold and there wasn't as much space at the back any more. imo of course...
