vtr to vts conversion

Just wondering if anyone can help me here,
im currentley hunting down what parts i will need to go 16v ive bought the obvious

    Engine
    unlocked 3 plug ecu
    3 plug loom
    Twin fan setup

im just wondering if il need to splice the loom or will it be plug and play? Also will the vtr driveshafts fit ok? Will my cars current alternator, fuel pump, engine mounts be ok? Ive heard i may need a vts top mount and radiator?

My cars a mk2 3 plug vtr hence the reason ive bought a 3 plug 16v im planning on using the vtr box aswell, Anyone think it would be possable to drop the 8v engine out with a trolley jack then drop the 16v in the same way? struggling to get a hold of a engine hoist at the moment.

    Thanks Adam

You dont need the twin fan set-up VTS's did not even have that, they had twin fan case but with one fan.
As said though search been asked sooo much

I did try the search button but i couldnt find the answers i need, Most of what i found was people who had sold there vtr and bought a vts, I dont want to do that as i got my polar white vtr dirt cheap the colour ive wanted for ages.

basic things you would need is enigne (might as well just buy a complete one with alternator/manifolds etc), 3 plug loom and unlocked ecu

drive shaffts are the same so will be fine

vtr/s mounts and fuel pump are the same

can use the vtr rad but will need a vts top rad hose, if you fit the vts rad then you can cut the bottom one down or fit a vts hose

if you buy the right engine/loom for your car then it will be plug and play can get it done easy in a day

best way to do it really is to drop the engine on to a tire drag it out then drag the new engine in, you can get engine cranes for about £15 for the day

however i do know, if its any help to u, to do this properly u r going to need a vts fuel pressure regulator and you need to put a fuel return line into the vts engine as otherwise it will over fuel massively, and a vtr does not have the fuel return line as standard.

less hastle to buy a vts lump with all the stuff and drop it in wouldn't it?

Also then you would have spare parts incase something went wrong or u needed to change it back. seen a engine loom gbox etc for 350 quid on ebay or sme where
