I've seen the guide but it's only for the jp4 not the 4s engine. I don't know the difference but apparently there is

Slightly better cams and a alloy inlet - but if putting in a saxo will be a VTS plastic inlet..

Same parts needed as jp4 conversion - I haz the JP4S.. It rocks

if it is a proper JP4s engine with the metal inlet the swap is the same but since the cams, lifters and springs are better than the J4 ones you keep them in so no need to take the head off. I personally would change the cambelt setup with covers to the J4 ones with the J4 pulleys as well, then case of swap the sump over to the J4 one to.

You will need to make a throttle body adapter to fit the J4 one on to the metal JP4s inlet plus make a throttle cable bracket of some sort to, in regards to the fuel rail you can adapter the J4 one to fit just case of redoing the brackets a bit, JP4 one can be used but you will need to bugger around with a bit of extra fuel line and a fpr for the return side as you will need to run a t piece as the jp4 rail only has an inlet line.

Also you will need to do the oil filter conversion to get rid of the plastic one it will have so you will need the screw in insert, old style spin on oil filter then will need to drill, tap and block one hole top right of the oil filter. Thing to note as well is depending on year of engine the oil pressure switch in the middle of the block at the front is just a blank with no bung in like early engines which you can remove and put your pressure sensor there.

It won't make a huge difference but get the cams setup on the rollers even though they are standard if running on oe ecu will make the most of what you have then

didn't think the JP4S cams were better than the J4? thought that engine made like 120bhp or something?

    jp4 is 110, think jp4s has 120-5?

jp4 - 110bhp j4 -120bhp jp4s - 125bhp, I do remember when the vts came out in the blurb they said it was cam and ecu changes that made the diff
