#3Top brace for show, bottom brace for go
I've got the OMP top and the difference is hardly noticeable. -
#4What Craig said, the top brace is un noticeable, go for a bottom brace for handling.

#5I genuinely disagree with above, I have a e tech upper and it has definitely made a noticeable difference to the handling, caught me out a few times since its been on with the back wanting to overtake the front. Never happened once before on roads I have driven for years..

#6Apparently Etech is one of the worst: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=254557Quote:I genuinely disagree with above, I have a e tech upper and it has definitely made a noticeable difference to the handling, caught me out a few times since its been on with the back wanting to overtake the front. I have an OMP lower and it made a difference. -
#7Both make a difference. The top seems to be more noticeable when the car moves between differently cambered road surfaces. The saxo chassis is not so strong not to benefit.

#8before fitting mine i could have believed that, but after actually driving my car with and without i can 100% vouch for the fact that the E-TECH brace DOES work. well worth the money i paid for it and i prefer the look to the omp braces.Quote:Apparently Etech is one of the worst: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=254557

#9They make a difference, I'm quite surprised to read people saying they don't. Try going around a track without one then putting one on.1 user thanked this post:

#10top braces dont seem to make a difference at all well my omp one hasnt

#11I always think these things are all in the head lol, you fit new brakes and your like whoa thats amazin!, new filter whoa its well faster.....generally it aint lol
I got one and thought it was ace, dunno if it is any better like -
#12I think people are expecting too much. I've done back to back testing and could certainly notice a difference BUT you had to put the chassis in the right situation. Also we could not feel the difference, but the audible tyre traction was our measure. We simply got a better tyre contact patch.

#13Fit both, they are reasonably cheap in the double kits
-
#14Strut braces do work but im not sure how well some on the market will actually perform. Too thin and show looking for my liking. Welded brace and strut top strengthening plates would be better.
-
#16Often the shiny alloy ones can flex just by leaning on them. OMP ones are steel though so stronger.
-
#17Agree with you mate end of the day all these gimics are for track use. I have tein coilovers on my typer and on normal road use you cant tell from normall lowering springs and shocks but on track is where they would come to life same as braces etc1 user thanked this post:

#18i have a e-tech strut brace but its only on because i got given it with my halo headlights and havnt noticed f*** all tbh not worth £5 to buy tbh
-
#19the thing with a lot of you posting they dont work how hard (what lb)are your springs
i found on a softer out the box lowering kit and on standard bushes ect the braces made no effect as no force was being put on the chassis as everything else flexs anyway
stiffer springs and bushes and youll see a benefit from them as then your loading up the chassis
thats my 2p on the subject1 user thanked this post: -
#20I've got an e-tech top brace and i've noticed a difference.
My cars rather low and seems to flex quite a lot, its stopped it flexing so much since i've had the brace on. I cant compare with the lower brace though, as i havent got round to getting one yet.
