Whats missing from my airbox ?

    Right i was having a look in the engine bay and noticed an outlet on the airbox that had something it seems connnected at some point but there is nothing there now so what goes there and should i be concerned.

    Pics are below so you can see engine type and where im referring to please excuse my grotty looking engine its on my list at some point.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Someone has just taken the rest of the induction piping off which snakes round and ends up towards the front of the bay more.

    Mine is the same, tis a ballache to put the rest of it back together after taking it off.

    Ok cheers guys so if i put one back on will it help with engine cooling or make little difference or jjst look tidier ? If so could someone post a pic to what it looks like

    it doesnt help cooling so forget that one mate

    basically it just scoops air from the very front of the car its not needed and it can be restrictive slightly as it snakes around a bit all i had on my old standard airbox setup was a bit of corrugated hose from there tucked to the side of the rad in the bumper wide mouth
