#2What car you got ?
Looking at your profile a VTR, they have just one cam..
Depends what you want though max power or a mild runner. -
#3power mate. yes vtr cheerz

#5Im intrested in maybe getting cams at some point too ive got but they only give you 3bhp and a small ammount of torque dont they ? Not worth the money from new i dont think. Or are they ?
-
#6i believe there worth the money after a remap. some1 help us?
-
#7No point camming a vtr
Total waste of money -
#8surely give more than 3bhp tho?
-
#9Be lucky to get a true 120bhp out of a cammed vtr
-
#10not worth the expense then.
-
#11That's after mapping as well
-
#12Iv got a VTS project and want to cam it, what needs to be done and what are the best fast road cams to go for, Iv heard newmans are widely used?
-
#13ive just had some cat cams 743 fitted to mine, i changed the water pump and cambelt with them. just waiting for the remap
-
#14how much did it all set you back mate?
-
#15cams were 300, pump, belt and cam seals came to about 80pound then it cost 120 to get it all fitted, then its the map which iv'e been quoted 300+ VAT. its not to bad without a map but will need one tho to get the best out of them!
-
#16sweet might have to get it all sorted once pay day comes around again

thanks -
#17haha well you could just split it up get the gear first, then fitted when your paid, then a map on next pay day, there's usually a 6 weeks waiting list any way for mapping depending where you go that is.
-
#19Camming a VTR is worth it, you'll get a nice idle from an 8V and once mapped you'll see gains but you are better off doing more than just a new cam shaft if you want to see more gains from your remap.
