ecu remap

Hi people i'm looking to get a remap after installing some cat cams 708s
I've been searching and phoning up companies all day and have only managed to get one quote of £450 plus vat which i think its a pi** take if i'm being honest as for a £100 more give or take i could have standalone management Ie a predator for £599 what would leave me open for future mods if i decide to carry on with the saxo.
Just wondering where everyone else gets it done as obviously it a common enough mod after doing the cams to get a remap.

kinda changed my mind on turbo charging it i think. i'm umming and arring about it but just think i'll go with abit more power while i save for the turbo parts so maybe i should just go for the predator.

wil the car be noticeably quicker with the cams without a remap

i made 151 before map and 155 after map, but the mapping session also sorted out my fuelling massively which is just important, i paid £270 at nothampton motorsport, i have a predator but i decided to get it mapped on a dyno, takes longer to map a standard ecu as the car cant be running while its mapped have to tweek it and then dyno and keep tweeking it, where the pred or any other ecu is mapped while the engine is running so its in realtime i suppose you could call it

thanks mate thats what i needed to hear as long as the car is still road worthy while i save for a predator ecu. as i wouldn't want it to be un safe as i drive me kids in the car.

If your saving for an aftermarket ECU you can just run them on standard map on your ecu for abit you will notice the car dosent idle very well but asides from that there is no real problem to running them for a while with standard ECU.

yeah thats fine and northampton isn't that far from me. how much difference have you noticed using throttle bodies with the cams?
