1.1 exhaust centre section on gti/vts

   Does anyone know if it'd be ok putting a 1.1 mid section (manifold to backbox) onto the 16v engine?
   Any help much appreciated

   Yeah but isnt the bore different? like smaller?

   The bore is smaller yes

   thanks for the replys, yes its around 10mm smaller, will this affect the power output, only running around 140? and most importantly will it result in a much larger amount of back pressure? maybe cause damage? i have no clue..

   It'll strangle it, get the proper one for the job or aftermarket stuff

   No it will be fine for temporary use. Car might feel like its holding back until you get a decent system on there though!

   Ye, it really does. It does sound really nice, really raspy and almost pugsportish. Just really loud at low revs.

   I had a 1.1 centre on mine, 4,1 mani + 3" ashley.
   
   it was raspy to the point where it was sounding horrible, I dont recomend it.
