best gearbox for my vtr?

   ive got a standard vtr engine. car being turned into road leagl track car but the gearbox is making a wierd whining noise. going to replace the box but whats better to put in? vts or vtr box for best performance?

   Vts will give better in gear performance but will reduce the top speed attainable.

   VTS engine is the way forward OP however a rallye gearbox wont be good for track as you lose too much top end. A VTS box is the best for what you want it for
