  1. #1
Well ive got myself a 75 shot of nos for my mk2 vtr, just wondering how easy it is to fit and how well the car will handle it?

    thanks in advance

Set it up properly and engine should take it, I recommend getting a grade colder plugs though,

And I think your gearbox/clutch will shit it's self.

not a great deal of peopel that use it on here so might not get a good answer but it should deffo be fitted professionally!

im looking at a 150bhp shot in the near future 310 bhp yes please ha

    http://www.noswizard.com/index.php/s...plete-410.html

this kit looks perfect for me fits all pug/cit 4 cylinder engiens with multiple throttle bodies

can be wired in to the TPS and have an arming switch cant wait

    Doesn't need fitting professionally,
Just have a proper read up about it,
I was running 150shot on my 2litre corsa, on a controller,
    It's simple stuff really tbh.

Also remember jetting for 75bhp won't make 75bhp, maybe only 80percent of that on a na engine.

well nothing needs fitting professionally but its not something id trust my self with id also not trust a car where the owner had fitted the kit themselves if they dont work or have experience in the trade

especially if im drilling in to my jenvey throttle bodies id rather a pro did it!

I think I'm abit more qualified to drill and tap stuff than most of these companies who fit nitrous,
If people don't have ago, we'll be paying massively inflated prices to fit stuff that some one can do in an afternoon.

And I welded bosses and drilled into my atpower bodies on my c20xe worth abit more than a jenvey body setup.

    Each to their own.

lol sorry if i offended you but last time i looked atpower bodies were £800 new? (if you want to turn this in to a 'i have more cash than you thread')

when did i say you couldnt do it? i said I couldnt do it, and that I would get it fitted professionally

id also want my switch conencted to the TPS so it automatically activeates when i reach 90% throttle etc and i would want the wiring to look oem

sorry if people have came in to contact with cowboys but i know and trust the people that work on my car

Mine was switched by my ecu, when I was over 5k, and throttle was over 80percent it switched a relay which activated my controller,
What ecu are you running as you may be able to do the same?

Have alook at the all bells and whistles c20xe bodies your looking over a grand, I was just putting it in the the scheme of things (as in if I didn't know what I was doing I wouldn't start hacking summit that expensive apart not comparing), as on a tu5j4 I'd run jenveys/sb setup, as I personally hate the at power setup for them.

Fitting it is the easy bit it's the getting it running to it's potential is the hardest bit with out melting it lol,

Personally I wouldn't stick 75bhp on it, I worked my way up 25-50-100-150.

cheers for info, well i think its a 75 shot, its a wizard of nos kit so might be more, it didnt come with a bottle just the rest of the kit!

i dont want mega power just want a little more grunt!

also how will my standard ecu cope with it?

any other mods i should do to help it run?

on a standard vtr if its a single jet kit witout a controller then limit it to about 50bhp
you can buy different jets from WON, you can push to 100bhp with a direct port kit, i have a direct port kit on my turbo vtr engine and with a controler its running 150bhp jets, as soon as i swap the feed pipe to a bigger one ill go to 250bhp gas

well the jenvey kit is £1300 brand new ready to bolt on iirc

im only running a predator so im guessing its not that advanced

what would you advise i upgrade on my bottom end before i go for the mentioned 150bhp kit? my piston rings are on there way out so im having a new bottom end built up just to standard specs atm and then do a straight swap over and then while isave some money up i was going to modify my existing bottom end i was going to go for high ciomp pistons and forged rods and wilder cams to get to around the 190-200 bhp mark

is it safe enough to use on a rebuilt standard bottom end or should i wait untill the forged bottom end is fitted?

i would have thought (in my limited knowledge) that it would be safe to use on a good condition oem bottom end for the time being

wizards of NOS are round the corner from me and often ive been round and they have been fixing some cheap or second hand kit that doesnt work properly. My advice would be to get it fitted profesionally. remember, VTRs spit back when they hit their limiter and if you run a single point the plenum, though small on a VTR will be full of N2o and will pop.
they have had consistant VTRs on a 75 shot run 14s
