Does anyone make custom air intakes?

  1. #1
I used to own an astra 1.8 16v and a guy on the forum made alluminuim 9.5" custom air intakes which replaced the standard part on the front of the car...

just wondered if there was anything similar on here?

i want to put a standard airbox and fittings back in but want as much air fed in as possible... noticed a big difference with the one on the astra...

was tempted to ask him if he could make me a saxo one but hes a vauxhall guy through and through

heres a pic of the intake side by side to standard one...

looks good, however there is so much available for saxos already that unless for personal use, most people arent going to be making things to sell on in an otherwise massive market already.

also tried to link your image, but isn;t working

yes, because you can buy/sell to other members on here, and believe me, the for sale section is like a haven of amazing deals.

haha yeah, seen that one done before, the mind boggles when people do things like that it really does !!
i used the original intake on mine leading up to the filter, it actually works really well, induction note is much deeper now

did u just use a panel? or put a cone with standard intake feeding?

using a 90 degree silicone bend with air filter on that then using original induction pipe work for cold air to the filter. not great but much better than a cone filter attached to the inlet!

Procomp used to make a decent CF scoop!
