Exhaust sound

   At the moment i have a standard furio engine wise, with just a Ashley back box on, the manifold is standard with the cat in and the center pipe under the car has no silencer. Was just wondering if i change the center pipe to say a supersprint one would it change the exhaust note much.
   Looking for it to be abit louder/raspy

   No, the cat is in the manifold, im on about if i change the center section to a supersprint one.
   
   But would it even make a difference as the standard section i have on now has no silencer

   Think he's saying he's keeping the standard mani with the cat on, and has a backbox but if he changes just the cenrtre pipe making a difference?

   wouldn't make any difference to the noise. back box does all the noise in my opinion mate!

   Ah right, I see.
   My bad, I misread your post lol.
   
   It will make a difference in sound, due to being made from a different material. But i'm not the best person to tell you how it will sound. Assume it will be louder, and should flow slightly better.
   
   Edit: Meant to say it might not be very noticable.
   
   Best thing to do would be to invest in a manifold rather than the centre pipe.

   As above, invest in a de cat manifold instead, a race tube will probably sound slightly different, buy will not be any louder, and a de cat mani will make more difference

   Could get a half decent manifold for around £150, wouldnt be much more expencive than a race tube but you'll love it.

   the note is not in the back box really ignore the idiot above, i had a piper with a cat on the my VTS sounded like a mental scooby, put a decat and manifold in and it sounded like a piece of shit supersprint, then went BTB and it was perfect.

    ive got the cat still on mine , no silencer and a piper back box, does sound surprisingly nice! had many comments from people saying it sounds like a scooby, but i do really want to decat it though, is it that bad?

    I got decat mani ss centre and piper rear sounds lush. Also had Ashley bb with the above also sounded nice, but def a nicer note and sound with the piper. And the centre pipe would make a slight difference to the sound just changed mine over as it snapped sounds quite different now

    i would leave it if it sounds nice, decat make them so much louder and raspy as fuck, i hated it, however popped flames
