high flow injectors

    Just had a rolling road done on a standard black top vtr. it was to test 2 different types of exhausts. any way its on a standard ecu too. the tester said that the car is running far too lean. i ask how much to lean and his comment was " near melting point" . he check some stuff and came back with the answer of its the injectors.
    he recomended to find some with a higher flow rate. so basicly what injectors fits a vtr witch will deliver more fuel.

    Surely the standard injectors would be fine for just an exhaust I would have thought?
    Could try sending them off to be cleaned? How many miles has it done?

    Its a rebuilt engine new big ends mains rings cleaned and recond injectors. the car is a track car and was trying different exhaust set up

    If your using a standard ecu then stick with the standard injectors..... It might just be a case of a remap to up the fuelling a bit

    if its running too lean then either his AFR is fucked or you have an issue with your fueling

    take your plugs out and get a good close up of all the tips..post them all in here..remember which pic matched which pot

    This. Standard engine will be totally fine on standard injectors. Did you get a dyno print showing afr? Could be several things (presuming the dyno operator is actually correct!)

    Fuel pump, fuel filter, FPR, injectors, etc etc.

    Check your injectors are working properly. You will not need uprated injectors with basic mods.

    As blackie said look at your plugs I doubt very much that you'd be leaning out over an exhaust. If its running that lean as in as described near melting point the plugs will be white or show signs of serious pre ignition, detonation, knock, cracked ceramics, melting or bits of the electrode missing.... You can also pull your exhaust/intake manifold and have a look at your valve stems on any cylinder that has leaned out severely they will show a white coating.....
    Personally as has been said the only possibility is bad injectors get them tested and cleaned.

    std injectors are good for 130+bhp --so it is not spec of injectors --could be the recon ones are wrong type or more probable you have a suply /pressure issue

    i couldnt agree more on a stock hatch... shame its not quite "stock" hatch anymore
