piper cams

   hi im really thinking about camming my mk1 vts and unsure were to go from here, ive seen a lot of threads on cams and ive read the thread about cams and all the other engine mods to do, but still unsure. haha!
   
   i really dont know what its best to get, the whole shabang or just the bang.
   
   ive seen the piper cams kit off tweeks for £877

   but i honestly think thats a bit much, at the moment its just a road car but i will be going to a few track days in it as well sometime soon so i need a good set up but a reliable one

   are the pully's not necessary though? and do you NEED a remap?

   not with the cat cams 743's, you can use standard. remap isn't crucial but it is needed for max gains

   would you get decent gains on standard with those cams?

   with a remap you will see around 145-150bhp mark

   mine came of automarcs rollers at 162.6

   when ya get cams do ya need to get the valves and springs changed aswell??

    Psst thats 877+vat... Not that it matters now but all demon theives prices are plus vat...
