Uprated nylon ball for gear selector mechs

   Apart from buy a new one, which is the best part of £50, any one got any ideas on what I could use instead of the rubber black ball on the gear shift selector mechanism? Seems a shame to me to replace the whole pivoting mechanism just because the ball is worn down slightly giving a bit of play in holder.

   Get the part from a scrappy and replace the one bar?? Don't it on mine and a mates car so far no problems

   try and reshape it somehow with filler? Doubt it would work though.
