#2Tis a ballache to swap the hubs, swap the whole axle is surprisingly easier
-
#3as in what way to much hassle want to race the ax cos its lighter than a saxo but really want it on 4 stud wheels
-
#4what about front end will that fit off a saxo? so a saxo axle will go on a ax then
-
#5Well get the spanners out and have a look how much of a hassle it is. Front end is piece of piss
-
#6Yeah as above, you generally fit the entire rear beam and build up the struts depending on if you want to use more saxo bits or ax bits.
Its not all straight swap though, youll need to make a minor tweak to the handbrake cable bracket or make a spacer using some pipe -
#8Dont bother with discs on the back of an AX, not needed as its too light, the standard compensator isn't enough to stop you wanting to spin it.
I have drums on my AX and running over 300bhp and it stops fine - i do use 4 pots on the front though.
All the saxo stuff bolts straight up no problem - as ryan says, some slight mods to rear beam and you also need to use the AX top mount and spring cups/springs on the front struts. -
#9mine is so bad at braking on track ian lol, think its cause i have the 266 i was going to run discs on rear with internal compansator like martin
-
#10Is an ax a lot lighter than a saxo then
-
#11I find its easier to get 12mm cap screws --drill holes through them and use 2 nuts on each to get cable outer correct length and you have positive location of outer cable in the bracket .Quote:Yeah as above, you generally fit the entire rear beam and build up the struts depending on if you want to use more saxo bits or ax bits.

the other way is to drill out the spot welds in the cable bracket on the tunel and just move it and refix
