Unlocked ecu problem ??

    hi guys i got a 1.4 furio ,
    i put a vtr lump in last year after it died and i have been running 1.4 ecu.

    my friend unlocked a ecu using this thread ...

    i put the ecu on my car and it started all well and good untill i took the key out now its flashing key coded on the dash ,

    i dont know why it has done this ANYHELP?

    he didnt unlock it by the sounds of it either that or you never removed your black box (transponder box) before putting the ecu on your car so it has locked again

    i dont understand how it work 1st time then when i took the key out id dint , ,
    and i looked for that black box in my car i aint got it im not sure weather the guy who done my alarm took it out when he fitted it

    theres just a thing with them starting, i done it on my gti it was a school boy error. it started 5 or 6 times and then it locked.

    the black box is about the size of a 20deck of fags with a single plug going into it. its up behind the dash on the passenger side, easy to find really.

    it sounds like yours is still plugged in . if your mate unlocked it and still has the car and transponder box he will be able to unlock it agen

    yeah i never took it out i took it out of his , with him but i could not find it in mine ,
    il just have to get it unlocked tidy pay to get it done thanks tho mate

    you still have your original transponder box in, sounds like youve relocked it.

    il have to look again , i did look but i could not find it , , if i can find it should i just leave it out ?
