curious

So I am just wondering if anyones compaired MPG when having back seats in and sub etc. Compaired to nothing. Just curious on stripping out all the things I don't need like my sub and seats to see how much further it will go on fuel with prices increasing. I've got a VTR which does around 430 to a tank and want it to do more. So has anyone seen how much further it goes?

How can you complain about 430 miles to a tank? Lol, I get 200, if I have my slippers on

It does work. Jon here has stripped his standard lupo gti to just have one bucket seat in.
The VW seats are heavy though.

430 is good! Is your car standered?

i striped mine bare when i went to pick up my gti leathers, it made it faster and as a result i had my foot down more just for the fun of it . so i used a lot more fule

if you have good self control unlike me ad say go for it. also ditch the spare wheel and get a spare in a tin. im pretty sure you wont have the tool you need to get the bloody thing off if you have a blow out anyway. i had to use the end of a crowbar as a supersized screw driver

ive got mine stripped out, removed spare wheel and then cut holes in the back bumper and can genuinely say its made a massive difference to my MPG, i do a fair whack of motorway miles and the homemade aero and reduced weight means less car to get up to speed, so less fuel spent, and easier path through the air, therefore less resistance and so less fuel used to maintain speed

Can't imagine just having a sub will effect it that much at all. . seats yes of course.
