right my mk2 vtr, is currently running a K&N induction kit with cold air feed, 4-2-1 manifold so decat and straight thru system with a powerflow back box, i recently fitted a newman ph1 cam and a gasflowed head which has made abit of difference, but im wanting more bhp..
im not sure weather to go high compression pistons with bike carbs not sure what to expect bhp wise anyone know what bhp i could expect on this?
or weather to go turbo with low comp pistons ect what can i expect bhp on this
and what would people reccomend which would be the best route to go down?

    any help much appreciated

If your running a VTR gearbox next thing would to be to get a shorter ratio box mate

lol that doesn't affect your gearbox ratios! What he means is to fit a gearbox with shorter ratios, which will give you more acceleration.

1.3 Rallye and the 1.4 xsi boxes have the shortest ratios, but are often harder to come by. 1.1 gearboxes are shorter than the vtr and there are a lot more of them.

Also I wouldn't run bike carbs with high comps Would be better with a throttle body set up. You have to remember that its a lot of money to tune an 8v!

The xsi and rallye boxes actually don't have shorter ratios, they have the same sports cluster as the gti/vts but with a different final drive.

I agree on the carb route being not optimum.
