#5knock on the sump, if it knocks back its a vtr, if a leprechaun pops its dick out its a vts.
neither of them, sorry dont know.

#9uh ohhh.
well its 100% 8v lol.
i'd hazard a guess its another 1.1 looking at the inlet.
if it does 60 in second though, it could be a vtr

#10Looks like a 1.1. in need of a clean!
-
#11Hmmm I reckon a 1.1 as well, the engine changed could be because the previous engine needed a repair which was costly and it was cheaper to source another 1.1 engine and drop that in.

#12Test the block with a magnet,
Not the head! The block... If sticks its a vtr, is it doesn't it's a 1.1 or 1.4, without the code no one could tell without driving it lol
It has defo had someone fiddling with it.. Because its a 3 plug car with a single plug dipstick bodged round the side of th manifold... So it's probs had the bottom end from a single plug car fitted.. -
#13Could be 1.1 or 1.4

where can i find the code? guess its not that number wrote on the head -
#15Isn't the 1.1 all spi?
Could be a mk1 1.4/vtr. Engine code is on the engine block. Just right of the down pipe. Quite hard to see if the block is dirty. And best to look at it with a torch

#20not that one you donut its normally by the cambelt cover ie NFX/NFT....
-
#22take it for a blits, if you get 105 in 4th its a vtr, not the 98 bhp tho the dip stick would be on the left. im sure you would know if it was a vtr tho, most likely just a 1.1.
its not a 1.0 if thats any help -
#23saying that it could have a random box aswell so trying a speed test wont be 100% accurate
as said get the engine code up and a sax-p boffin will tell you straight away, my bet is just a simple like for like swap. so 1.1 if its what you thought you were buying, anything else would be a bonus! -
#24yeah im not even bothered about ragging it tbh i just wanna know what it isQuote:saying that it could have a random box aswell so trying a speed test wont be 100% accurate
