How much are you lowering the front by?
100mm is a LOT and its not as easy as putting springs on the front to drop it that low.

60mmon front its gone down by. ive spoke to a guy on here who had his done the same and it was fine he said and looks smart.

And in response to your question, Get some WD40 on there, leave it to soak for a bit, try tapping it with a hammer / chisel, not too hard though, it will eventually move - You've got to be patient with it.

My god, dont lower the rear 100mm. You'll end up in a ditch and die.

yh ive tried that and no luck might have to result in bending it towards outer car and just bend it back once done

Notorious for seizing as they are french and shit tbh. As said above any penetration spray and some patience and it will eventually give way.

If not use a hammer and if that doesn't work, use a bigger one.

Personally though I would say your car is going to be arse end down and will not look cool, just get it level.

and i wanna go 100mm looks lush! not for pratical anyway
  13. #13
What so the rear is lower than the front? Fuck me that'll look shit.

You might want to adjust the brake bias valve too.
  14. #14
I really wouldn't advise it, and i think 99% of the people on here wouldn't either. It will ruin the geometry of your suspension, Having the back lower than the front. Your handling will be ruined and potentially dangerous.
You'll also have to take into account the brake bias valve as these generally cease up and when low on the rear, it will cause the rear brakes to lock up before the front making it rather dangerous.
Out of curiosity though, Have you ever done a torsion bar before and have you got uprated shocks for the rear?

okay have a look at the blue car on this page. he says 60 front 100 back. looks nice to me? and yh uprated shocks are on

Bare in mind it can be uncomfortable when the trailing arms hit the bumps stops whilst travelling our 'lovely' british roads. Watch for wheels rubbing the plastic arch liners, that happened to me a little when I dropped it that low by accident then went on a track day.

Like folk have already said a hammer and patience should allow you to prevail in getting the plate unstuck. Post picks after you're done!

Well it seems the f*ckin torrsion bar is not coming out at all! tried the way it says on the forum and even get a slide hammer to doit but it willnot budge at all! help anyone?! its an 02 plate so why is it in there so bloody well!!
  21. #21
    anyone help please!!
  22. #22
A car made in 02 is still going to have 11 years worth of corrosion on it lol. Unfortunately with these older cars, you do need patience, with patience, you will prevail.
  23. #23
    that looks fooking shite, broken!
  24. #24
Not sure what you expect us to do sat here. Youve got the tools and it's straightforward, just get on with it and keep going.

Then you'll have to do it all again when you realise how crap it looks.

100mm? As said looks absolutely shocking. ''Slammed'' cars make me cringe and so does the word. Looks like the rear beam has collapsed, which it will pretty soon down 100mm.

If you want to be 60mm down at the front just get the rear so the car sits level...and not have your rear wheels tucked 1/3rd of the way into the arches scraping along

i like it and i see more cars like it now and looks good. not the whole usual saxo thing of putting huge wheels and body kit on...

i see countless saxos each day sitting on the floor, rarely see any with a body kit and big wheels lol

So a Saxo with an awful ride quality, impracticality, dangerous handling, immature looks and reduced chassis/suspension component life is good?

    Fair enough!

since when has that been the "usual thing" the usual thing on here is Motorsport 15"'s and standard VT bodywork.

    100mm is dangerous.

Just gotta be patient with things.. Took me 3 and a half hours to remove a 6 inch brake pipe a few weeks ago to replace it.. Just had to keep at it, untill it finally shifted, and i could get it off properly..

Still, been that low will be awful. I hope you don't put friends, or dust in the back, because your exhaust will get destroyed!
