Lowering springs

Was just looking on kam racing at springs, just getting round to lowering the car and I'm on a bit of a budget would the apex -50 springs be alright on standard shocks for now? If any of you have done this how does it handle and hows the ride.. Etc cheers!!

The apex springs are pretty good, imo.

Your profile isn't completed so I don't know what car this is for - is it a vtr/vts or a poverty spec model?

    50mm isn't 50mm on the poverty spec's - more like 30mm.

Either way, when you run the standard shocks lowered you will reduce the life of the shock a fair bit, but depending on how you drive and on what roads etc (no pot-holes help) they can be fine for a fair while.

Handling will be improved because you're lower. Ride can be a little crashy.

Yeah I need to get round to finishing it :') it's a vtr, it's only probably going to be a few moths until I get new shocks

May as well get the spring and damper kit and have it all fitted at once

I was thinking that but at the movement I've been lumped with a £900 tuition fee and insurance and all that so I'm skint but I'm gonna get round to getting shocks eventually

My Saxo was low, i wouldn't say it was slammed as it could have gone lower.
I got pulled over, once in my time of ownership because the police thought i had a boot full of lead or something. They thought i was a thief and treated me like shit until i proved them wrong, they then went over the whole car to try and find something wrong!
If this is the image you want, go for it.

    This tbf.

If you're pulling the struts apart for the springs, might as well get some shockers in there too at the same time - saves doing it all again later.

Get some second hand bilsteins or something from the for sale section here - always bargains turning up

A whole apex suspension kit is only just over £200
