1000rpm idle - is that normal?

My VTS idles on 1000rpm - is that ok or it should be around 800rpm?
    It has superchip

I have a suspicion it is cammed - how do I find that out? Only taking the cams out?

If I had a pound for every time someone said they think their car is cammed, I'd have enough money to buy premium...

    1000rpm is high - should be 750-900rpm.

If you really think it's cammed, take the cam covers off and look for the markings on the camshafts. Most say either "CAT" (for catcams obviously) or "SPORTCAM" (for newman) in them.

We don't have many saxos especially VTS, so cannot really compere it to anything...

    Probably its the stupid chip?

The good thing is that i've already got predator ECU ready for fitting.
