White silicone coolant hoses

  1. #1
Just been searching tinterweb for things i want to eventually buy for my motor. Thought of getting some white hoses, but they don't seem to exist. Does anyone know anyone who has them, had them or know's where to get them? I've e-mailed samco regarding them but thought i'd ask people on here anyway. Google gives me nothing! Cheers

Yeah they do white hoses, but i was looking for a white saxo coolant hose kit. Obviously i can't makeshift one can i and they don't seem to mass produce them in white, well not that i can find.

You can makeshift the top rad hose with 2 separate white hoses and a joiner

    OR

Buy a length of white samco superflex hose for the top rad hose

The other coolant/rad hoses can barely be seen in the bay anyway

Well i wouldn't want a white top rad and then black else where would just look odd :/ Might just have to stick to blue perhaps, along with some blue oil breather pipes just so it doesn't look out of place.

i have a red spoox top hose cost me £50+ quid i really wouldnt bother with them on a 1.1 they really are just there to spend your money on when you have nothing better to buy to make your engine bay look better unless you are going to go for an uber clean looking engine bay if you just have a standard 1.1 engine and i mean anal detail otherwise it'll be a total waste of money

    Heat and fluids/greases/etc

    Sad fact really

Black is best bet, transferable to any build.. Some say boring, some say subtle

Like i said, i'm looking to get them in furture not right now. . But i'm putting a 1.4 which is cleaned up and i've spruced up all the bay etc. So some dirty old pipes will just look naff. I'll clean them up for now, but looking for a more permanent thing later on. Plus i am quite anal when it comes to clean.

Blackie: Fair point. Didn't really think of that. But surely though if there cleaned regularly, which they will, they'll be alright won't they? Aslong as the don't age really fast should be okay. If i can get any that is

The water at 80+ degrees is what does the main damage mate

Takes a while but white is the worst colour for it really

My purple ones have change colour slighty since fitting them lol

Samco will make the hoses in any colour within their range.. Might just have to pay abit more for a non standard tion mind.

Its only the outer layer thats different anyway. Inside they are still blue

I've noticed that with Samco stuff the inner ply is often blue and the outer ply is the colour you choose

Well i might just stick too blue anyway. Done some photshop and perhaps white whites will be a bit over kill, with the fuse boxes, ecu cover, battery cover and rocker cover being white too. Blue might split it up
