Diagram for correct fuel route

  1. #1
I am after a diagram to show the correct way to run fuel lines with swirl pot ect, think I have got it, but would like peace of mind to know off someone with more experience. And information on what best pump to use on these setups.

    Many thanks

Is it necessary for the return line to go through the swirl pot?

I was planning to just run a return back to the tank not though the swirl pot, unless someone knows not to do this?

Aye thats what I would have though you can do, but that diagram has the return going to the swirl pot?

YES ,or why would the swirl pot stay full of fuel?
technically the return to tank should be smaller dia or have a partial pressure valve on it to help keep the swirl pot full
you can use std in tank pump -instead of low pressure first pump .
If swirl pot is higher than second pump then you do not need the second low pressure pump either .
hp pumps do not like sucking and running dry even for seconds can damage them permantly . that si why your diagram shows LP pumps infront of the HP pump.so they can have the hp pump a distance away from swirl pot and higher if needed due to location problems .
