#2You need a saxo vts, far simpler to just buy one, insurance will be cheaper than fitting a 1.6 16v to your car.
you need 1.6 16v engine, wiring loom, ecu, brakes. -
#3a Saxo 1.4 VTS ? didn't know they also came in 1.4's
-
#4Thanx Welshpug, so the the new wiring loom will fit on the old connection? Yes i have an VTS only a 1.4 and i want an 1.6 engine. I work at the Citroen dealer so i can do it myself
. Yes Martin they came in 1.4, 1.6 8v and 1.6 16v.

#5what bhp is the 1.4 vts?

#7so its like a 1.4 furio then
-
#8Furio, vtr and vts were badged as vts iirc on the continent
-
#11But is it possible to put an 1.6 16v ? And yes it's a furio .
-
#12Yes i've done it to mine.
You need a loom that is the same plug as your current on i.e at the ecu 3 plug or single.
You'll need a unlocked ecu make sure it is unlocked or you get a headache.
The engine and sensors ofc,
A clucth and new cambelt kit is near enough a must as they rarely come with service history.
Your Gearbox and driveshafts can be used but you may want to get a Vts box for better ratios
Brakes are not really a must i ran my conversion with furio brakes for a good 8-9 months until i upgraded to 283mm brakes, i only changed because new pads and disks was due or i would have just left them. -
#13yes.
are you in Belgium? -
#14No im in holland haha
But if i buy a used ecu for a 16v? Is that also an possiblity?
-
#15Yes dont buy a new ecu from citreon they will want stupid money.
-
#16no im not buying a new ecu, just a used one of a 16v engine.
-
#17vts, vtr & furio brakes are all 247mm no??
just drums on back of the furio but decent drums are as good as disks really.
