rev problems

   Hi guys,
   
   I'm having a few problems with the saxo at the moment. The main one being a rev problem, basically when driving as I engage the clutch to change gear the revs do not drop as they should, and very occasionaly rise slightly, bloody annoying, especially when trying to slow down. Second problem is a lumpy idle when warm, (between 500rpm and 1000rpm).
   
   First thoughts where idle control valve so I gave that a clean, didn't look very dirty to be honest but still cleaned it anyway. That didn't really help tho. Would the idle control valve make the revs increase when changing gear?
   
   So do you think the problems could be linked? And what do you think is the problem?

   Throttle cable too tight?
   
   Is the EML on?
   
   ICV could cause that the rev's to 'stick' yeah. Can also be the MAP sensor.
   
   If the EML isn't on.. i'd try the blue temp sensor, as you say it idles worse when warm.

   Sorry forgot to say it has had a vts conversion, yes its the same problem, just not sure if its clutch related or a sensor

   Hi mate thanks for the reply as said above this is a vts conversion, so far I have changed map sensor, green temp sensor and cleaned icv, eml is on because I have a decat so currently green lambda sensor does not exist, until I get a sleeve.
   Have checked throttle cable doesnt seem tight and butterfly isn't getting stuck open either. What is the blue sensor?

   There is another temp sensor near the one you've already changed, It alters fueling to suit the temp, so could be that.
   
   Have you checked the fault codes anyway? Could be others along with the lambda sensor code.

   Is this the blue one next to the green one is this the one? And do you no what its called? Will replace that see what happens, havn't checked fault codes as yet. Maybe that's the way forward if its not the blue sensor.

    I'm confused now I've replaced that one but it was green plugged into the thermostat housing. The blue sensor is in the head. What is that? Could it be that? Engine is a 02 vts btw.
