#5i have and cant find it lol
-
#7reasonable question.
as a rule. the bigger the filter, the less restriction.
the colder the air, the more dense it it. -
#8The best induction kits are the enclosed ones like the BMC ones or the Green Cotton/Raceland ones.
On a standard car though you cant really beat the standard induction setup with a decent panel filter replacement from Green Cotton, K&N, Pipercross etc. You wont really gain anything with an aftermarket induction kit. -
#9i do like the noise of the induction kit though and would prefer that ,in this instance what should i buy.
-
#10Procomp
Hard to get hold of though. The Raceland/Simota style ones are good value for money and sound great too if thats your thing

#11hard to justify a procomp on a standard ph1 VTR though! :')
-
#12If its pure sound you want and dont want to spend a fortune just get an open cone filter.
-
#14Maybe the best for your saxo will be to buy panel K&N,. The effect will be the same ias with a more expensive filter. The cold air is the most important at all, because it have higher dansity thanthe hot as you know
. Dont waste a lot of money for air induction kit in my opinion you wont feel big difference on VTR at all. Cheers!

#1516v airbox
good filter
good cold air feed
thats what i have
feels good on throttle
not loud
no real downsides -
#16+1 totally agree.Quote:The best induction kits are the enclosed ones like the BMC ones or the Green Cotton/Raceland ones.

On a standard car the stock airbox with a panal filter is going to be as good an option as any.
But if you want a nice throaty sound then the best kits are generally the enclosed induction kits, many of which have a decent enough cold air feed.
Open cone filter is cheap and sounds awesome when you nail it, but heat soak from a warm bay means less power.
And as mentioned, not much power to be gained on a standard car with even a well designed induction kit. On a higher spec car, different story.
