Decat and MOT

   Hi, I have a MK2 VTR (the annoying shape when it comes to decatting/manifolds!) and managed to ger a 3" Saxsport off my mate for a good price; now i reckon it will sound shite with no rasp at all on std manicat so (unless anyone can say otherwise???) i want to get myself a 4-2-1 or 4-1 manifold; now i understand you have to relocate the oil filter; is the easy or a pain in the arse? the guide on isnt very thorough. Is there any manis out there where i wouldnt have to do this?
   
   Also i was thinking about keeping the aftermarket mani on and getting a mk1 cat centre section now would that all bolt up fine and be okay for mot use? as thats alot easier than the manifold swap!
   
   4-2-1 mani or 4-1, bare in mind i would like rasp and definatly pops and bangs as i miss them from my old car! shame the 8vs dont pop on the gear changes like the 16vs though

   Oil filter relocation is easy, I thought the guide was pretty well written.
   
   Yes you can get a manifold that dosent require you to relocate the oil filter.
   
   You can also get a manifold with a built in aftermarket CAT.
   
   You will be able to use the Mk1 centre pipe setup with CAT come MOT time.
   
   I would chose a 4-1 everytime.

   and the lamdas etc will reach fine/same location??
   
   why 4-1 over 4-2-1?

   4-1 lower down tourqe , 4-2-1 higher up the rev range think its that way round :/ , not much difference tbh , but i prefer the 4-2-1

   4-2-1 is bottom end
   4-1 is mid/top end
   
   But I'm more worried about the noise than the power, obviously would like a power gain, but rasp>boom and ive heard 4-2-1 are raspier?
