who builds the best custom exhaust

   Was just wondering peoplesthouggts on exhaust makes. e.g simpson. power flow. milltek. i am looking gor a custom down pipe then cat and a back box. all done in 2.5".
   I am just copying some one elses design.
   whats peoples thoughts or ideas. i have to.run standard manifold in the class i run in.

   What racing you doing I ust to work for powerflow with some of there top fabricators there work is epic. But unsure on other makes I have never used them

   I am doing 750 mc stock hatch. rules say i have to use a standard mainifold but rrst of the echaust is free. cos also i am in group a which is post 92 we have to run cats too. there is a powerflow in aylsbury . will give them a call

   AAS In Newcastle build the best in the country but there's a 2-3 month waiting list and their prices are very reasonable.

   Edwards motorsport are very good, he has done several JRE and a fe Sandy Brown manifolds/systems, did JP's.

   The 'best' will be a loose term otherwise I bet mclaren would be up there.

    Ok . well some company who makes a good quality system. thing is mclaren make there exhausts from solid bars and machine all the bores out. this reduces the possibilts of failer of rolled and welded tube. . this is also done to aeospace spec and quality. with all parts ndt( non destructive tested).
    so yes i use the term "best" loosely
    all formula 1 teams dont make any thing . they design it and build it but send it out to specilized aerospace companys

    You'll be looking at about £600 for a manifold, designed to engine spec.

    Not alould to change the manifold. have to run the standard manifold but the resr of the exhaust is free. but have to run a cat too.

    oh in that case then an off the shelf like a saxsport will suffice as you wont be able to make more power due ot the stock manifold.

    Chris Tullett or Simpson... ive worked on cars with manifolds from both of these and they are very very good...

    sxapsort does not have first box --so not a good choice
    
    does not need to be larger than 2" ,it should be smaller 1.75" first box to maximise toprque after that then 2"
