what i want to know atm is where can i buy replacement connectors for my engine loom
i cant find any ive googled and ebayed but i cant find anything

just want the temp sensor ones crank sensor and the injector loom plug
the rest i THINK i can keep attatched to the loom as is like

Another vote for polevolt here Alex.

Farnell for anything you need that's "a bit trick". My autosport connectors are from Farnell but you need the right tooling for a lot of those.

The deutsch autosport crimping tool is a brilliantly expensive bit of kit. Neat tool mind.

just flogged one on ebay to a guy in Australia - paid me £120 for the tool, and something insane like £40 for insured shipping. When the tools come up on ebay, they're in demand!

Funnily enough, I have a crimp on my desk in front of me - make me an offer

it's an insert for the tool. The tool has many inserts for different wire sizes and crimp types. This one (^) is for 22-28 gauge wire.

    Like this:

Tool is "generic" (within reason) - use the correct insert into the tool, adjust the crimp according to the guide on the insert, boom. Exact crimping force required for perfect crimp

nice, I'll stick with my £20 lazer jobbie, just take my time

hehe yeah I got by for years with a standard crimp - when I wanted to go posh connectors I was horrified to see the prices. But they're used in aerospace so the crimp needs insane amounts of accuracy/process. Crimped to the exact pressure, double checked, etc. Silly specs when I was bored and read into it. Well silly now, but I'm secretly grateful for it every time I fly and don't die horribly in a "wire related burning plane crash".
