Turbo Furio

    Hi guys,
    collecting a 8v turbo kit soon all ready to bolt on etc. was just wondering if anyone had done this before? what gain have they got from a turbo'd furio. got a fully trained mechanic helping me do it so shouldn;t have many problems. also will i need it mapp'd after to get the fueling right? cheers!

    Pretty straight forward, and yes you'll need it mapped, or say bye bye to your engine not after too long.

    Well there's loads. Depending on budget. Apparently Wayne at Chipwizards has done boost on a standard ECU.
    You can use piggyback ECU's such as a Dastec uni chip.
    There's other options like Megasquirt ECU's such as a Predator but you will be limited by people who will want to touch it.
    Then you have standalone ECU's like the Omex 600, Emerald K2 I think it is etc

    There's loads of options but it depends on what budget you have. Standalone is the best route as it opens up more mapping options than the others

    As stated what's ur budget an how much u getting the kit for? What are you getting in the kit ? I just got andy off here who makes predator ecu's which are plug and play and just a good as omex but only thing is it made to fit ur car can still control ad has many variable setting it can control

    End of the day you get what you pay for. The more you pay the better the hardware, software, mappers capabilities etc

    Well not always but you get what I mean. Say for example an Omex is better than a Dastec Unichip. Lol
