    In parts or labour too?

allow for head skim --very common for them to distort

I've had it for 6 months, blew its first one yesterday. Overall, not bad and will be getting the free lander gasket, so might last a bit longer - 7 months?

No reason why a new LR gasket and uprated oil rail should blow at all. Keeping the coolant strength up and it very clean is key with the K

Make sure it's definitely the head gasket as Corsa c's have a seal on the water pump that fails allowing oil and water to mix in the timing chain case. This is often wrongly diagnosed as head gasket failure. If you're anywhere near Bedford give me a shout and I'll do you a good price on it.

I agree use the uprated one with the head saver plate + steel locating dowels +skim the head and use new bolts and it won,t go again on a k series.
i would change thermostat at same time as well on a k series

yes i get alot of them to skim ,
plus i have done quite a bit with lotus elise and a rover 200 k series race car a few years ago-- they had same problems
they had a problem with water not circulating correctly to the rad --cure was to fit a restrictor in the heater hose to make it want to go to the front and not just circulate round the heater matrix
this is also why th freelander ahd a modfied thermostat housing --moving it to front of engine on the rad hoses
