Kam Racing/Supersprint teaser

I'm on the verge of ordering a cat-back system for my Phase 2 VTR from the Kam Racing website but which should I go for...

The full Kam Racing set up.
Full Supersprint set up.
Part Supersprint/part Kam Racing.

What are you guys thinking gives the best sound, build quality, performance etc?

Mix and match is my personal opinion that's what I had on my vtr and sounded very sweet was a deep tone but at te same time on throttle off was nice and raspy

i have toyosport manifold, kam racing mid pipe, piper back box sounds ace.... bit loud mind

my exact setup currently.
It sounds abit farty below 3,000rpm. The box doesnt silence much, but once on the go, sounds awesome!

Its all good stuff mate. just choose the back box you think looks the best!

Ive got Supersprint mani, centre section and backbox 2" (same make). I still run the underfloor cat but its loud enough as it is. Past 4k is all rasp.

down to personal pref. Both good. kam/ss

Ever thought about saxsport ? Build quality is really really good fits bang on in the recess not too loud and not to quiet, plenty of rasp. What more could you ask for ?

Is the build quality of the saxsport anything like the pugsport? Unsure if they are made by the same manufacturer?

If they are, id stay well clear! Imo the pugsport has poor welds, and I could ever get it to sit right on the back! The supersprint and kam racing systems I had though, fitted perfect, and sounded the part.

Definitley recommend them to anyone.

im looking at geting the toyo sport or supersprint set up my self but the supersprint dose sound really nice imo!

Yup. Made by Scorpion. Uses the same centre pipe.

Yeah they are made by the same company (scorpion) I agree with what your saying about it not sitting right on pugs but on a saxo they are perfect.

I'm a welder by profession and even my boss complimented the welds and he's been a coded welder for 22 years, so I think they are upto a high standard

Their welding is not the issue. The materials are thin though and this causes issues. The pugsport backboxes distort with the heat and often look like they've been damaged and knocked, but its the metal warping as its welded and cooled.

soon there will be no difference. Once our stock of aluminised steel pipes is used up they are not going to be sold anymore. Supersprint are stopping production of aluminised steel products.

I have the kam racing full stainless system. Can't fault the noise. Quiet when needed so you don't annoy the neighbours.

Will out last the car. Only thing I don't get with them is I thought all stainless systems came with life time warrenty kam one come with only 2 can fault the build quality tho.

Well we've never had one returned with any issues so you can have faith that they are well made. We only have a couple of straight cut backboxes left on this batch (and price)
Best if anyone wants one to give me a call and we can sort out the order (making sure stock is in)

Went for Supersprint mid sections with Janspeed backbox, the backbox is touching the bumper - really not a match made in heaven so Supersprint backbox now on order

My garage currently contains two Janspeed backboxes!

Yeah it is still raspy but it takes the edge off it so you don't sound like a chav. Also takes away the drone from inside the cabin.

Right now I'd love some drone to drown out the knocking sound of tailpipe on bumper!
Supersprint should be with me today so can't wait to get it on. Surely with a 50mm tailpipe it can't foul the bumper haha

Receive a text saying your exhaust will be delivered on the 5th... book the day off work at short notice so I'm home to sign for it... sit in all day and doesn't turn up.

Maybe there's snow in that part of the country I don't know

I bought the full stainless kam racing exhaust for my saxo, received an email saying their decat and mid section pipes batch got coated in black and was assured it was stainless had it on the car 6months and the black coating came off and the centre pipe and decat was aluminised steel and had started corroding. Like most folk you can't just whip off your exhaust to send it back and complain about it, I did email them to let them know there was a mistake with my order but couldn't go the weeks without an exhaust and ended up selling the car. I've never bought a kam racing product since..

Exhaust received today - just a wee bit annoying to text saying the 5th then it turns up on the 6th - thus losing a days holiday for nothing.
No issues with them other than that though
